EVENS SKIN TONE: Vanquish dark spots and skin discoloration, replacing uneven and ill-textured skin with smooth, wrinkle-free skin that leaves you looking flawless and ageless.
INCREASES GLOW & RADIANCE: Revitalize your skin with essential fatty acids that leave skin smooth and radiant. Smooth skin capable of reflecting light will give your skin a youthful glow and a brilliant shine for that well-rested and refreshed look.
ABSORBS RAPIDLY: Moisturizes skin due to the capacity of the hyaluronic acid to absorb water, thereby increasing fluid between cells, giving your skin a smoother and younger appearance. This intense water absorption means no more dry, peeling or cracked skin, even in extreme weather.
BOOST COLLAGEN PRODUCTION: The presence of Organic Rosehip Seed oil increases collagen production so your skin retains the elasticity responsible for a youthful appearance and prevents skin sagging associated with aging. Enjoy smooth and supple skin that takes years off your appearance.
REDUCES WRINKLES & FINE LINES: Reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles with the help of our foundation 20 % Vitamin C. Special ingredients such us Sea Buckthorn oil plump up the skin, which reduces fine lines and wrinkles in the skin so it is smoother, clearer and younger.
Vitamin C in skincare has been a really popular trend lately--even Dr. Oz is promoting it--but I get a little nervous changing my skincare routine because new products can sometime aggravate my acne. But the adventurous beauty blogger side of me couldn't turn down the opportunity to try the newest skincare fad. Especially one that seemed like it was actually compatible with my skin type (oily and acne prone) and might clear up some of the discoloration from acne scarring, as well as the fine lines that are starting to appear (ok, I'm pretty much the only who notices them... for NOW! But I'd rather be proactive about it!!!).
So I received Valentia Skin Care's Even Glow Serum, and used it almost daily for several weeks (let's be honest, we're all kind of bad at following instructions to do things daily, even when we know they're good for us). You have to shake the serum a bit (it comes in a small glass bottle with an eyedropper to dispense the product), and then apply "a small amount to face and decollete daily" (I used about 1/3 of a dropper). I love the slightly citrusy smell of this product, and the serum really is a serum in texture, absorbing quickly and without any residue. There was no burning, stinging or irritation, and it didn't make me break out.
Dr. Oz says that it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to see results. I probably used it for two months total, and the results seemed subtle. When I stopped using it for a few weeks, that's when I realized how much the Even Glow Serum had improved my skin. I don't know that the difference would have been visible on camera, but I felt like my skin was healthier and had more of that "glow" to it, and when I stopped using it, I noticed that some of that went away after awhile.
At my age (twenty eight years old), I don't think that I'll see crazy drastic results from this sort of product, and probably won't appreciate it for a long time, but I do think that it has caused improvements in my skin tone and appearance. Valentia Skin Care's product is kind of mid-range to higher end, and I haven't tried any other Vitamin C serums so I can't really compare Even Glow Serum to anything else. But I am satisfied with the results.
