Leonie Blackhead Removing Peel-off Mask

$26.00 for 3.4 fl oz
Leonie Blackhead Remover Peel-off Mask is a ground-breaking black mask that instantly removes excess sebum, blackheads and other impurities from your skin.

Activated Charcoal: Absorbs blackheads and other impurities to instantly reveal smooth skin
Grapefruit and lemon peel extract: Powerful astringent combination that provides a deep cleanse for clearer skin
Rosemary extract: An antioxidant and antimicrobial agent that detoxifies, refreshes and tones skin to help prevent new blackheads

BENEFITS:
- Instantly clean, fresher looking skin
- Enlarged pores are reduced
- Eliminate excess oil
- Purified skin by elimination of impurities such as blackheads and dead skin cells
- Prevent new blackheads
- Use it on any problem area! Nose, chin, forehead and even back!

HOW TO USE:
1) Wash face or area of the skin you want to use the mask on
2) Apply an even layer of the mask on the skin
3) Wait 15-20 minutes or until the mask is completely dry
4) Gently remove the mask by lifting the outer edge and peel towards the center

Product description: This is a viscous black liquid, about the consistency of Elmer's glue, with a slightly "clean" scent to it. It's a similar product to other liquid/gel peel-off masks.

Application: It's pretty messy to spread on your face, and takes a bit of washing to get off of your fingers. It's important to wait til the mask is fully dry, or you'll end up with plenty of black goop on your face. And even if you try to apply it evenly, the edges seem to stick to my face.

Efficacy: It does peel off your old skin cells, so yes, your skin does look a little "fresher." I didn't notice any lasting effects on my pore size, oily skin or blackheads, but it did seem to help temporarily, much like a pore strip would. I was actually surprised to see that there seemed to be more "stuff" pulled out of my skin with the peel-off mask than there are with pore strips! So it is doing something, although looking at my skin, the effect is barely noticeable. I'm torn on how "effective" I feel that it is--it meets its claims to an extent (getting rid of oil, dead skin cells, etc), and there seems to be a lot of stuff pulled out, which I can see on the pull-off mask (ew, but kinda cool, right?). But my skin and pores don't seem to be noticeably different?

Packaging: It comes in a squeeze tube with a flip top cap. It's handy for easily opening the tube and getting out more product, but can get a little messy.

Value: $26 seems a little pricey to me. While they claim you can get "dozens of applications" out of just one bottle, I think that would depend on whether you're doing a full face application, or just parts of your face (like your T-zone). Pore strips aren't cheap either though, and I feel like the various brands of pore strips I've used in the past weren't quite as good at removing stuff from my pores as the peel-off mask is.

Love it or leave it? This one's a toughie. Not everyone loves/needs pore strips or products that will pull the stuff outta your pores. I personally like that kind of product, and I think the Leonie one is a decent option, although it's messy.

I love using those pore strips and seeing how much they pull out, even though I know they don't really help in the long run all that much.

Not blackhead, but my favorite mask is the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. It's $24, but my husband and I use it once a week and the last tube lasted like 5 months. That's pretty good I think :)

I have tried lots of things, but one cool thing I've tried that ctually worked is using Elmer's School Glue on your nose area like a pore strip and peeling it off when dried.
