I'm kind of over the BB craze. It was just too sheer for my blotchy, broken out skin, and I didn't see what the fuss was about. But when I heard about the new CC creams, I had hopes that it would improve upon the BB formula, and be something that actually gave a little bit more coverage. Hard Candy's new CC Correction Creme does just that!

CC creams are the next generation of BB creams that are an all-in-one product designed to moisturize, prime, color correct, brighten, and even skins complexion. The point of difference in the CC cream is that they have additional coverage properties and color correcting benefits. Essentially, they are a merge of skin care and cosmetics. The multi-functional CC crème aims to provide better skin coverage to treat and cover uneven skin tones more effectively than a BB Cream - plus the benefit of daily skin protection of broad spectrum SPF 15.
Hard Candy’s CC Crème provides five flawless functions:
1. Color corrects undertone with unique light reflecting optical pearls
2. Neutralizes skin tone by blurring blemishes, discolorations and dark spots
3. Brightens complexions with glowing air brushed finish
4. Evens skins texture for a smooth flawless appearance
5. Oil free crème moisturizes skin all day without clogging pores

I received the Hard Candy CC cream in Medium, which is a bit dark for my NC20-25 skin (I've gotten so pasty over the winter! I forget that I'm so much lighter at the moment). It's a liquid product in a squeeze tube, allowing you to easily get out just the amount of product that you want. The consistency is similar to a liquid foundation, and the coverage is light-medium, but buildable. Although the formula says oil free, it feels creamy and I was worried that it would end up a shiny mess. But it really had great lasting power! I'm actually really impressed at the length of wear on this product, as well as the natural looking finish. It really looks like SKIN! And it stayed that way for over 13 hours of wear. That's CRAZY. At the end of the day, while my skin felt a little oily to the touch, it still looked pretty darn good. That's really impressive for any face product for my oily skin. The price is really reasonable too. While I don't feel like it's quite as amazing as it claims to be (I don't know about this "skincare plus makeup" claim), I think it's a really solid foundation-type product. The only bad thing is that I'm not sure if it's making my breakouts worse or not. :(
If you're looking for something with light-medium coverage, a natural finish, and a low price, this is definitely worth a try. Even if you have dry skin, I think this could work!
