Laura's inspiration for 2012 draws from her background as a fine art painter and focuses on the mood and attitude of women through different art periods. For the holiday season, Laura was inspired by the decorative architecture, style and mood of the Art Deco period in Paris in the mid-1920's, most notably the beautiful paintings of the artist Tamara de Lempicka... Laura created rich makeup shades of gold, red and black to beautifully contrast each other and add sharp definition that is geometrical, powerful and beautifully ornamental.

This looks so pretty in the compact, I *honestly* feel bad using it! It's a gorgeous gold that can be worn as a browbone highlight or built up on the lid for more glam. It has a unique, smooth texture and great length of wear. The compact is good quality, and the mirror inside is a nice touch.

I love this classic shade of red! The formula is dreamy--smooth, highly pigmented, shiny, and decently long wearing (a few hours). It feels comfortable and moisturizing on my lips, and isn't sticky or too slick either. And I LOVE how evenly it applies with the doe foot applicator. *swoon*

Sparkly enough to be fun, but subtle enough for grown-ups, this gloss adds a nice bit of complexity to any lip look. It's so pretty, and like the Lip Lacque, feels great on my lips, and moisturizes too! This has a slight fruity/candy scent to it.

A pretty shade of deep browned red--it's not your usual vampy dark red. Good length of wear, but needs three coats for complete opacity.
I love this collection. The colors are classics, with fantastic formulas. My personal favorites are the Lip Lacquer in Laque Rouge and the Illuminating Eye Colour in Gilded Moonlight. As far as red liquid lipstick and gold eyeshadow go, I feel that they're top of the line. Pick them up before they're gone!
