A unique three-in-one, highly pigmented concealer designed to cover, de-puff, and brighten dark undereye circles, while nourishing and smoothing skin. A little goes a long way, so just use a “pin drop."
A true makeup artist must-have, this concealer builds and blends flawlessly. This formula features honey and vitamin E to protect against environmental stressors, and fruit acid to nourish and calm skin. Packed with pigment, it covers dark circles and brightens for all-day coverage. The 12 shades correspond to the existing Secret Concealer range for easy matching.
It is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested for use on all skin types, and safe for contact lens wearers.
About the product: Take a look at my before and after pictures above... Thank goodness for concealer, right?! This is an incredibly pigmented concealer designed for under eye circles but I've used it to cover bruises (I'm clumsy) and acne scars too! This comes in 12 shades that coordinate with the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer ($23.00 for 0.08 oz)--both pinkish and yellowish tones. I was sent two shades, 2.5 and 3.5. When I'm "pale" in the winter, and am about NC20, 2.5 is great. Righ now, I'm probably about NC30-35, and 3.5 is perfect.
Pigmentation: The High Coverage Concealer is the most pigmented concealer I've ever tried. When they say use a pin-head size amount, they aren't kidding. I put that much on my ring finger, pat it onto the other ring finger, and then pat it on my undereye circles--ta da, all gone!
Texture: The consistency of this concealer is very thick and a smidge dry. It's like the consistency of paste.
Application: Laura Mercier recommends hydrating the under eye area with an eye serum or eye cream, and then patting and rolling the concealer on. You can also use a small dense flat concealer brush. I like to use a little serum and then patting it on with my ring finger. It's quick and easy.
Length of Wear: This lasts almost all day for me, even with a sweaty workout thrown in. I'm REALLY impressed.
Packaging: I love the packaging. Simple and it looks nice, and the small pointed tip lets me squeeze out just a little bit of product, so nothing goes to waste.
Value: At first, $28 might seem a bit spendy for a little tube of concealer. But I think this concealer is an AMAZING deal, because it will last you FOREVER since you just need a tiny little dab. I've loved the Laura Mercier Undercover Pot because the color and coverage were really good (click here for my review) but I ran out of the parts (concealer, camouflage, and powder) at different rates, and the packaging for the Undercover Pot is kind of bulky, it involves more steps, and it costs $34-- I'm so stoked that this new High Coverage concealer provides amazing coverage in just one step, you get more product for your money, and the squeeze tube is easier and more sanitary than a pot of product.
Love it or leave it? I looooove it. It's been my go-to concealer since it arrived.
