Have you ever done a relay? If you're a runner, I definitely recommend putting it on your bucket list! It's unlike any other kind of race. You run and run and run, barely sleep, eat a lot of Clif bars, live in a van, and use smelly Portapotties for two days. Doesn't that sound awesome?! It's my fourth year doing Hood to Coast relay and it's been incredible every year (my vanmates were super awesome, so that helped a lot!). We're thinking about doing a different relay next year... maybe Ragnar? Epic Oregon Relay? Also, I'm thinking we need some sponsors. That would just be awesome.
Anyway, here are some pics from this year's Hood to Coast relay! I was runner 7, and did a total of 16.21 miles split between three legs. I was battling a cold/laryngitis, and worried that I'd have knee issues, but the race went pretty well!

Every year, our van has stopped at Dairy Queen somewhere along the course. Other teams were jealous.
Having fun, being easy-going, and supporting your teammates are key parts of a relay! There are so many unexpected challenges that come up (traffic, etc.) that going with the flow makes it a lot more fun. Having awesome teammates who will make a tunnel for you to run through is good too.
The finish line! YAYYYYY!!!
