Firmoo offered to send me a free pair of glasses to review on my blog. I usually wear contact lenses, and already have a pair of prescription glasses that I like, but was excited to try Firmoo's product and see how they compared to other glasses I've owned. I decided to try out these fun nerdy/geeky black plastic frames ($32), which are kind of New Girl/Zooey Deschanel-esque, and very trendy right now. Ordering was pretty easy--I just entered my prescription information. I did have to measure my PD myself since that wasn't on my prescription. It took about a week from time I placed my order until the day I received them, which is really quick. They came in a hard plastic clamshell case. Also included: a lens wipe-cloth, a soft bag-type case, and a mini screwdriver keychain with two screws.
The quality of the lenses and frames seems decent. They're not designer or anything, nor do they have all of the upgrade options that I paid for on my other pair of glasses (better lens material, ground thin as possible to reduce weight). However, I feel that they're a really great value for the price.
I don't usually wear my glasses for a full day, but I did wear these just to see if the prescription was good and didn't give me a headache. I didn't have any issues with these glasses at all. I can see well, and they're comfortable.
I do want to mention that there are really mixed reviews about Firmoo's products and customer service. However, I also looked up the place I currently go to (America's Best Eyewear), and a few other eyewear places and they also have reviews that are similarly mixed.
PROS:
CONS:
I really think Firmoo is worth a shot, and I'd be willing to order from them because of their prices and the variety and styles that are available.
