Billion Dollar Brows - Brow Powder & Dual-Ended Brush

I recently reviewed MAC's Stylish Brow collection for We Heart This, and while I loved the products, I was really disappointed that it was limited edition, and that the color selection was small. Fortunately, there is a company that focuses entirely on brows--all the time, with lots of color options--Billion Dollar Brows.

Billion Dollar Brows brow powder

$16.00 for 0.07 oz
Available in four shades: Blonde, Light Brown, Taupe, Raven

I tried the darkest shade of brow powder, Raven, which is for those with "very dark hair color and dark skin tones." I was worried it would be a little dark but it's perfect in my opinion. It has just the right amount of pigmentation, and is really smooth in texture. This brow powder is a fantastic no-frills product. While $16 might seem like a bit much to some, one pan will last you years, even if you use it every day.

Billion Dollar Brows brow brush

$15.00

This dual-ended brow brush has a soft angled brush on one end, and a spoolie on the other. I personally like a slightly stiffer brush to use on my brows (I actually use a stiff flat eyeliner brush), but this one creates a nice soft line and works well with the brow powder. The brush is a good quality brush, and looks nice as well. The spoolie brushes my brows nicely. I've looked for brow brushes in the past, and they tend to cost quite a bit more than this one. BDB's brow brush is an excellent choice for anyone looking to fill in their brows.

PROS:
  • Easy to use
  • Good quality
  • Reasonably priced
CONS:
  • Contains parabens
  • Online retailer (can't try it out)

Whether you've never done your brows before, or you're a brow expert, you'll love Billion Dollar Brows. These two products are fantastic, and I definitely recommend them.

My eyebrows are super light, so I really need to start using something like this. I will have to give Billion Dollar Brows a try!

If you have super light brows, brow powders are a great easy way to enhance them :) It's quick and it's natural looking. Brow pencils are supposed to be easy, but I find that they're too dark and pigmented.

That's been my issue; it always seems to look unnatural when I use a brow pencil. I will for sure try the powder route.

Thanks for the great review. I've noticed that my auburn brows have been thinning since my early thirties. It is more than annoying--"disappearing" brows detract more greatly from your appearance than you think. This seems like a workable, affordable system to fill in sparse areas in the most natural manner. I'm anxious to try it!

You're very welcome, Gigi! :) Thinning brows can definitely be aging. Brow powder is a really good way to go.
