I was incredibly excited when YMX offered to send me a Tribal Sea Running Tee and Tribal Sea Arm Warmers to review, and even MORE excited when they said they would provide a shirt for a giveaway as well! About YellowMan/YMX YellowMan was founded by Peter Mui, a dude of Chinese heritage who grew up in Oklahoma. He wanted to knock down cultural barriers and to make wearable art that was unrivaled in versatility and comfort. Keeping in line with this vision, YellowMan apparel features tattoo art that is a reflection of the histories of many different cultures across the world. Mui’s company name mocks the derogatory term “Yellow,” transforming it into a symbol of pride and embracing all aspects of one’s identity. YMX (YellowMan Expression) was launched to “offer an alternative to YellowMan in a broader, commercial market, while still preserving the authenticity of its origins.” Like YellowMan, it features tattoo inspired artwork on apparel that can be worn on the streets or on the run. YMX Tribal Sea Running Tee in Blue $69.00 Details: "Not just for running"--cycling, or everyday wear; moisture-wicking; UPF 50+; silky soft material; MadKool (88% Polyester 12% Spandex); lightweight; wrinkle resistant; slim fit. YMX Tribal Sea Arm Warmers in Blue $32.00 Details: Good for any sport or just for fun; comfortable; moisture-wicking; MadKool (92% Polyester 8% Spandex); UPF50+; abrasion-resistant. Both felt really good. The fit was really amazing. I didn't have any problems with chafing or seams rubbing. The shirt is nice and slim fit, long enough in the torso and doesn’t ride up. The sleeves are just right, neither too long, nor too short. I just wish they had thumbholes! They absorbed sweat well, and dried quickly. The colors are IN YOUR FACE, with zero fading or shrinking after washing and drying. And they're cool looking, so you can wear them to run errands! The major drawback is the price. Although the arm warmers are fairly competitively priced (YMX's are $32, other brands are around $20-$30 per pair), but the t-shirt is definitely higher end (YMX's are $69, other brands are around $25-55). Although expensive, it is the most luxurious feeling workout clothing I've ever worn. In terms of performance, comparable with other high quality brands. But most importantly, in regards to the expense, I would say that it is justified given the quality of the material and the quality of the artwork.“YellowMan believes in paying the artist their deserved value”--definitely something I can appreciate as an artist! Random note: I’m now obsessed with Winter Flower mesh wrap that just came out as part of their winter 2011 collection... Gorgeous. Must. Have. It. Lipgloss+Spandex rating: AND NOW THE GIVEAWAY!!!! YMX has offered to give one Lipgloss & Spandex reader a YMX Tribal Running Tee in his/her size! Following my blog is required, but you can get additional entries too. It looks even better in person! I want it! It probably won't help me run any faster, but maybe it will give me motivation to get back to the gym lol

This is beautiful. I am not a runner but, wearing something so beautiful makes me want to exercise just so I can wear it. Great Review!
