use. love. repeat. AG Hair Cosmetics volumizing shampoo, conditioner and styling foam are PABA- and paraben-free, and are not tested on animals. AG Hair Cosmetics Thikk Wash Volumizing Shampoo $15.00 for 6 oz. $40.00 for 33.8 oz.
I'm obsessed with this shampoo. It smells like an orange creamsicle, but not in an overpowering way. It's on the more liquid-y side for shampoos (a slightly thinner consistency than your average shampoo), and I find that I do need to use a bit more of this shampoo than I do other shampoos. However, the price isn't bad, and adds volume to my hair. It feels clean, but not stripped. AG Hair Cosmetics Thikk Rinse Volumizing Conditioner $15.00 for 6 oz. $40.00 for 33.8 oz.
This smells slightly more citrusy and a touch more tart than the shampoo, but it still smells great. Like the shampoo, I use more of this particular product than I typically use. It's just conditioning enough that it works, but not so rich that it weighs down my hair or makes it greasy the next day. AG Hair Cosmetics Foam Weightless Volumizer $20.00 for 5 oz. This isn't a bad product, but it just didn't do much for me. It is light, and it adds volume. The end. :)
AG Hair Cosmetics claims that all three of the products I tested to be "safe for color treated hair" and "sulfate-free." But a quick look at the ingredient list on the shampoo reveals that all three contain sulfates. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the second ingredient in the shampoo, and Behentrimonium Methosulfate as the second ingredient in the conditioner. Additionally, the styling foam lists Cocotrimonium Methosulfate as the fifth ingredient and Ammonium Laureth Sulfate as the ninth ingredient. That's really disappointing to me. However, overall, I would say this brand is reasonably priced and good quality. I really like how my hair looks and feels. I've tried out several natural oils (coconut and argan oils) as well as a bunch of products that contain natural oils as ingredients. Guest blogger Sarah del Rosario is here to offer some info about five different natural oils, and what each of them can do for you and your hair:Natural oils provide nutritional benefits not only to our body but to our hair as well. Here are some of the recommended natural oils that you should incorporate in your hair care regimen: • Coconut Oil. They call coconut as the tree of life and for a good reason! Every part of the coconut tree has amazing benefits for the humankind. In fact, this includes even its oil! The coconut oil is rich in vitamins and minerals that provides the hair with the nourishment it most needs. When you apply it to your hair, it helps in maintaining the moisture in your hair. As a result, your hair will not only look healthy, it will be soft too. Because of this, your hair will be more moisturizes, reducing the risk for dryness, split ends and hair breakages. It is recommended that you apply coconut oil to your hair every month. If you cannot find a pure coconut oil, try to make use of the hair conditioning and repair treatments that contains this natural oil. • Argan Oil. This natural oil is considered very special. Why is this so? This is because the only ones (all over the world) who are allowed to process the oil of the Argan tree are the Morocco women. This very precious natural oil can actually do great wonders to one's hair. When you apply this to your hair, you will see the difference right away. It will make your look a lot shinier, thicker and healthier. The best thing about this oil is that it can be applied to both dry and oily hair without making your hair look super greasy. • Emu Oil. When you apply this Omega 3-packed natural oil to your hair, it will surely feel a lot softer and shinier. In addition to that, it would also be a lot easier to manage. If you wish to tame down your frizzy hair, this is definitely the solution for you. If you are also having some problems with hair loss and growth, this will provide you the nutrients that your hair needs. Apply it together with Biotin vitamins. • Jojoba oil. If you are looking for moisture, that is what you can get from this natural oil. With Jojoba oil, you can say goodbye to tangles, frizz and poor hair texture. Any dry hair will surely be moisturized when you apply this. If you wish to make your hair look a lot fuller, take advantage of the oil's thickening power too. • Rosemary Oil. This is perfect for people who are having problems with dandruff. Its moisturizing effect can certainly get rid of any embarrassing flakes. All you need is to put on a few drops and voila, good bye dandruff! Another advantage of this oil is that it promotes hair growth. All the natural oils listed above will surely create great wonders for your hair. Although most of these oils are quite pricey, all you need is just a few drops. Because of this, a little bottle can surely go a long way! About the Author: Sarah del Rosario is a beauty and health blogger. Aside from writing, she is also fond of painting and DIY crafts. $28.00 for 2 oz. Russell Organics Argan Oil is pure cold-pressed Argan Oil. No additives. No fillers. No fragrance. No toxins. Just 100% Argan Oil. Russell Organics carefully sources its Argan Oil from Morocco.
Use any time, and on any skin type, where moisture is needed. For the face, can used used as a daily moisturizer, or can be applied before a moisturizer. A little goes a long way, only a few drops are all that is needed. To give hair a luster and sheen, rub a few drops through the ends of towel dried hair. Then style as usual.
I know that natural oils are really big in the beauty world right now, but it's kind of become a fad. I have tried a different brand of Argan oil in the past and was underwhelmed by it. Russell Organics Argan Oil actually impressed me, and I actually do feel that it's a good multi-tasking product. My hair is really damaged but can get oily very quickly, so I have a hard time finding a product for it. I rub a few drops of Russell Organics Argan Oil in my hair after I hop out of the shower, and it makes my hair look and feel healthy (no small feat!). There's a huge difference when I use it, and it doesn't weigh down my hair, even hours later.
I've also used this on dry patches of skin on my face and body, and haven't had any issues (no clogged pores). It absorbs more readily than some other types and brands of oils, which I really like. Although $28 for 2 oz of products seems a bit high, a few drops goes a long way--meaning it'll last a very long time--and it is fairly comparably priced to other beauty oils sold by Sephora. There is a faint sweet slightly nutty scent to it, but it's barely noticeable. The dropper lets me dispense just the right amount of product without making a mess.
Overall, I like how this product can successfully multitask . I've found myself reaching for it more and more often, particularly for my hair because I hadn't been able to find a good product to make my hair look and feel smooth and shiny without weighing it down until now. I wish the price were a bit lower, but

PARNEVU was kind enough to send me some hair care products for my poor damaged hair! I've bleached and colored it so many times, that it's pretty fried. PARNEVU T-Tree Shampoo $6.00 for 12 fl oz PARNEVU T-Tree Shampoo is a unique blend of botanicals designed to cleanse the hair and scalp of impurities. Its ultra-rich formula penetrates the hair to replace and lock in vital moisture lost to chemical damage and everyday styling. It leaves hair soft and manageable. Specially formulated with Australian Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia) to help eliminate itching and flaking when used on a regular basis. Directions for Use: Wet hair thoroughly. Apply shampoo to hair and scalp. Rinse completely and repeat.
Shampooing twice is the key to the effectiveness of this shampoo. Doing so gets my hair clean but not stripped. It smells clean, slightly minty and a little herbal. I love the rich lather too. After using it, my hair feels moisturized and shinier.
TotalBeauty offered to send me their TotalBeauty Collection for HSN to review before it was even available for purchase, so of course I giddily accepted. (I totally felt like one of the cool kids on the block...)
