Yeah, not a very creative post, I know. But for some reason I felt compelled to join in on this alphabet meme!

Chore you hate:  All of them? That's why they're CHORES. Cleaning the bathroom is probably the worst though.

Dogs: I had a good mutt growing up. No pets right now, but maybe in the future.

Vegetables you dislike: I like most vegetables? But okra grosses me out. It's a texture thing.

What makes you run late: Taking too long to decide what to wear, or what to eat, or doing my hair or makeup.

Yummy food that you make: Um. It's better if it only requires me to put it in the oven/microwave and set a timer. I am cooking-challenged. I can make a decent Vietnamese curry though! From a recipe. But still!

Zoo animal favorite: Sea otters. They're so cute. And they use tools! So clearly, they're adorable AND smart.

About a month ago, I started training for my second marathon. I haven't actually signed up for the race yet, but I've been training. On the long runs I've done at a slower pace, I go crazy wanting to be done. On the long runs I've done at a fast pace, I go crazy because my body is just beat. In either case, I'm mentally swearing like a sailor for the last few miles.

Sunday morning, I thought to myself, "Do I really want to do this? Do I really want to do another marathon?" Maybe if I sign up and it's official I'll feel more dedicated to training because I can't back out. Maybe it's because I know how hard training is. Maybe because it would be so much easier to just focus on improving my half marathon time.

My marathon training buddy is feeling the same way (she hasn't signed up yet either). That was kind of a relief to hear, realizing I wasn't the only one having second thoughts. It's a lot of work, a lot of hours... But I love a challenge. I need a challenge. Because working out for the sake of working out isn't enough for me. Working out to burn calories isn't enough for me. I want something measurable. Like a PR. :P
